Systems engineering is the nervous and circulatory system of a yacht. At Fantastic Vacation, we go beyond equipment installation β we approach stabilization, power, water treatment, climate, and safety as five integrated subsystems requiring holistic design.
Our engineering team includes former naval engineers, marine systems specialists, and automation control engineers averaging 18+ years of experience. We apply a "System of Systems" methodology to ensure subsystems cooperate rather than conflict β from hull vibration analysis to electromagnetic compatibility, from noise transfer path analysis to redundant backup architecture.
All designs comply with IMO, RINA (Italian Classification), and Lloyd's Register standards. We provide full-chain services from concept design and detailed engineering to equipment selection, installation supervision, and sea trial acceptance.
Zero Speed Stabilizers reduce roll by over 85% at anchor, ensuring guests never experience seasickness. Active fin stabilizers with interceptors respond to waves in real time. Optional gyroscopic stabilizers (Seakeeper or equivalent) provide continuous comfort from full cruise (22 knots) to stationary anchoring.
Full vessel power system customization covering generators (Caterpillar/Kohler/MTU), emergency backup (UPS battery arrays), and shore power conversion. Smart Energy Management System (EMS) monitors all circuit loads in real time, auto-optimizing generator operation. Optional lithium-ion battery storage enables zero-emission, zero-noise silent anchoring for 8β12 hours.
Reverse osmosis desalination producing 3β15 tons/day (depending on yacht size), with multi-stage filtration (50ΞΌmβ5ΞΌmβRO membraneβactivated carbonβUV sterilization) meeting WHO drinking water standards. Black/grey water treatment via MBR technology exceeds MARPOL Annex IV requirements. Instant hot water circulation ensures hot water at any tap within 3 seconds.
Chilled water central air conditioning with zoned independent temperature control covering all cabins and public areas (18β28Β°C per cabin). Fresh air system with HEPA H13 filtration (PM2.5 β₯99.95% efficiency). Humidity control maintains 40β60% RH. Engine room independent ventilation with fire dampers and positive-pressure explosion-proof design compliant with SOLAS fire safety conventions.
